Our formulas and wellness products were originally created to purify, nourish, and protect all skin types against harsh elements, by strengthening our skin's natural resilience to internal and external skin stressors like. We use the highest-quality organic ingredients, proven in the desert environment and blended in most efficacious proportions.
Our philosophy is deeply rooted in nature, yet validated by science and continuous research, to deliver results throughout the changing seasons. Our founder / practitioner
Patricia Vernhes has been on a path of research, study, teaching, and consulting in Yoga & Ayurveda, Reiki, Native American Energy Medicine, Eastern European and Mongolian Medicines, Sound Therapy and Binaural Acoustics as well as many other release and shift techniques for body, mind, and Spirit for over 20 years. A Sivananda Hatha Yoga teacher under Swami Brahmananda and a disciple of Dr Marc Halpern of California College of Ayurveda, she is a certified Ayurveda Yoga Therapist and a Reiki Master in the lineage of Usui Reiki Ryoho. Following in the footsteps of her ancestors – medicine women and herbalists in Eastern Europe, this path allowed her to formulate an intuitive approach which draws from many schools so she can guide her clients in a unique healing experience.
Twelve years ago, Patricia settled in the Mojave Desert of California.
In her own words:
“I left society to find my true role in the world as a human being through the deepening of my Yogic path in devotion, silence, and solitude. The result of this life changing journey laid foundation to a practice of service to others, daily study and tapping into my own field of transcendental creativity. This is how Mojave Desert Skin Shield was born.”
Whilst living in the desert, she began working with indigenous traditions and plants, and was invited to learn with a local Native American elder.
She also had a rare opportunity of studying with Nancy and Joanne Karl and apprenticing as a sound therapist with the use of Quartz Bowls at The Integratron.
Patricia now treats at her Wellbeing Space in Pioneertown in the Mojave Desert, and offers lectures, workshops, ceremonies, and individual sessions around the world.
Bridging her continuous research in the fields of Ayurveda, sound therapy, nutrition, skincare formulation and skin healing, health and longevity, with ancient traditions and cutting edge innovation, she personally formulates and designs Mojave Desert Skin Shield’s organic skincare and wellness products and offerings. The brand’s ethical supply chains are built on sustainably sourced ingredients, recyclable UV protected glass packaging and respectful, Earth friendly practices.

Angela de la Agua is the Golden Oracle, an initiated Priestess in service to helping others access the divinity within each of us through heart-opening healing work, ceremony, self-care, and spiritual practice. As one who has undergone extraordinary transformation in her own life, Angela draws upon all she has experienced and learned from her awakened path of the Divine Feminine to inspire and activate transformation in others’ lives with compassion, devotion, and joy.
Angela has been rooted full-time in Joshua Tree, California since 2011 as a devoted initiate of the desert, where she embodies her priestess role through work as a divine healer, spiritual teacher, and ceremonialist.
Her training and certification highlights: Oracle Priestess, Cacao Ceremony, Womb Chakra Healing, Yoga Philosophy, and living in solitude in the desert wilds for 12 years.
She is renowned for her work with sacred nourishment, fasting, and ceremonial cacao, as well as an artist and photographer. Her ability to find beauty in all things enables Angela to recognize the divinity that dwells within everything and elevate the mundane to the sacred in everyday life.
Angela is in sacred service through private healing + guidance sessions, group ceremonies, apprenticeships, online courses, healing retreats, and sacred pilgrimages. She has 11+ years experience holding transformative space for clients one-on-one as well as for group containers.
Love is the foundation of all of Angela’s work. It is her greatest joy to help others awaken to their own divinity through the remembrance of Love.

Additional prorated time can be added to your reservation to focus on any specific issues, areas, or imbalances you would like to address.
